Helmets and closed toe shoes are required. Lose hair and clothing must be secured. Slideways does provide helmets and head socks.
Absolutely no alcohol can be consumed prior or during races on the dirt! Race wisely and we do not give cash refunds
In order to race on the dirt - individual racers must purchase an annual membership. Membership for the dirt track club is $50 per year. This fee also includes 2 races on the dirt
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
The Dirt Track hours vary and are not guaranteed. We currently try to have the dirt track open Saturdays from noon - 5 pm only. However, weather conditions, equipment conditions and staff all play a factor in the availability of the dirt track. Please call ahead of time if you are coming to Slideways specifically for the dirt track.
Wait times for the dirt will also vary depending on weather conditions and kart wear and tear
WHEN IS THE DIRT AVAILABLE??
To race on the dirt - drivers MUST be 16 years of age. A photo ID or license may be required
Multiple waivers are required to be filled out prior to racing on the dirt. Please be prepared to fill out paperwork prior to racing
Newton/Knoxville, Iowa, 11-8-16 - Hoosier, Briggs & Stratton Racing, Toigo Racing, TiLube, Newton Kart Klub & Slideways are excited to announce the launch of the Hoosier Adrenaline Race Series.
The Hoosier Adrenaline Series runs from April – September of 2017. There will be 12 races, 6 at the Newton Kart Klub and 6 at Slideways new dirt track opening in 2017. There will be a 13th race for the championship.
The Dirt Track at Slideways is OPEN for public racing!
HERE'S WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW...........
We currently only have 8 dirt karts available so only 8 people can race at a time MAXIMUM. Remember these are machines, and machines do break. Call ahead of time if you are concerned about the number of dirt karts available on a particular day.
